I opened Avivage Salon & Day Spa in 1997 and we been growing over the last 14 years. I’ve been doing hair since 1986 and continue to be inspired, by the people around me. I love the outdoors; my favorite place to be is Breckenridge, Colorado, at any resort that offers skiing and a view of the Rocky Mountains. I have worked hard at building a dedicated team and encourage ongoing education for my Salon.
My team’s goal is to create lasting memories for our clients by providing quality services and providing outstanding guest service. Our staffs have a positive friendly attitude, extraordinary guest services skill and desire to go roll out the red carpet for our guests! I have high expectations for my staff, and we work great as a team!

Jenni Czachowrski - Cosmetologist
My name is Jenni and I have been a part of the Avivage team since March 2007.I attended Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing where I received my license for Cosmetology in November 2008. I really enjoy working with this group of ladies, doing what I do; helping people relax and/or making them feel better is a very rewarding job. Here at Avivage I do manicures, pedicures, facial waxings and all hair color and cutting services.
I am currently at Delta College pursuing a Cosmetology Management Degree so that I can own my own salon in the future. When I am not at work or school, I enjoy any outdoor activity, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Esther Crotzer - Cosmetologist
Esther Crotzer is a Midland native and completed her cosmetology education in 1999 at the original Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing, Michigan. Following a 6 month advanced training and coloring apprenticeship, Esther started her cosmetology career in Okemos, Michigan as a hair and corrective color specialist for Douglas J Day Spa and Salon. During her employment she founded a mentoring program through St. Vincent's Home for Children working with female residents to assist in questions of self-esteem and presentation.
Prior to her return to the Aveda line and hometown of Midland, Esther traveled between London, England and Chicago, Illinois where she worked as an image consultant for one of select American locations of the Italian salon network: Compagnia Della Bellezza. Training included direct cutting and coloring techniques taught by Sam Brocato of the Brocato line, featuring equal focus on both European techniques and in-depth consultations to create customized reflections of individual client lifestyles, inspirations, and attributes.
Esther has attended and worked at the International Color Exchange, attended and modeled in the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show, and continues her education and inspiration through trade conferences. Here at Avivage Salon & Day Spa, she uses her knowledge and personal devotion to stand behind and inspire her clients to be comfortable enough in their own skin to take chances and make changes.

Brealyn Mason - Cosmetologist
I attended In Session Arts of Cosmetology Beauty School and have also taken classes through Aveda Education. Although I specialize in color and cutting, I also enjoy hand, foot, and facial treatments including makeup application and facial waxing. In my free time, I enjoy music, the arts, outdoor activities, and spending time with my family and children.
Michael Long - Cosmetologist
I have been with Avivage since 2010. I attended In Session Arts of Cosmetology in Saginaw, MI for my cosmetology education. In 2012 I received my Instructor’s license allowing me to teach in cosmetology schools in the state of Michigan. I am very education focused and have continued to take classes through Aveda Education. I am currently pursuing an intensive five year program that will have me training all over North America with the possibility of also training in Europe. At the end of the program I will be certified through Aveda to teach introductory to advanced cut and style classes within our professional network. Though I specialize in hair cutting, I perform all color services, hand and foot treatments, men’s services, and facial waxing.
As a former business manager and theatre major, I enjoy being able to merge my business and art backgrounds in this industry, and am happy to have found something that fits me so perfectly. In my spare time I am still very involved in theater productions.

Christina Jackson -Cosmetologist
I have been a part of the Avivage team since February 2011. I graduated cosmetology school from In Session and have taken color classes through Aveda Education as well. Prior to Cosmetology, I studied Fine Arts in college and incorporate creativity in hair design.
I am looking forward to advancing my education in the future in Cosmetology and Art. During high school, I lived in Los Angeles and now love to travel anywhere with a city-life. I also enjoy cooking, fashion, film and sitting down to my daily cup of coffee.

Stacie Darr - Licensed Aesthetician
I have been with Avivage since 2005 and really enjoy everyone I work with here. As a Licensed Aesthetician, I do facials, nails, body treatments, and waxing services. I love Aveda, it is such a great product line to work with and I appreciate the opportunity to share my product knowledge with my clients. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

I am a licensed aesthetician and have been in the industry for 19 years. I do all facials and body treatments, makeup applications, waxing services, manicures, pedicures, and stress relieving treatments.
I love all the Aveda products and really enjoy working with our staff and clients here at Avivage. My goal is to make sure my clients have a relaxing and enjoyable experience each visit.

I am currently working on my Masters in Occupational Therapy at Saginaw Valley State University. I love to spend time with my husband, family and friends. My hobbies include canoeing, tubing down a river, and playing Frisbee golf…but mostly my free time is spent studying.

Sarah McLeod- Certified Massage Therapist
I have been with the Avivage team since January 2012. I have been a massage therapist for 3 years and I am certified in Advanced Medical Massage as well as Neuromuscular Re Education. I started my education at Baker College and finished at the Flint School of Massage Therapy. I am certified in most body treatments but specialize in deep tissue and myofacial release.
In fall of 2012 I will be going to school to get my personal trainer certification to enhance my massage techniques and knowledge. I am working toward my life time goal to become a massage therapist for the Detroit Tigers.
